It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Chris Moore (Mooro), who died peacefully at Welwyn Hospice on Thursday morning after a brave battle with terminal illness.
Mooro was a friend to all of us. A larger-than-life character, he brought warmth, humour and a genuine sense of fun to every occasion. A familiar and unmistakable presence in the clubhouse, he was hard to miss — and even harder to forget.
The outpouring of messages says everything about the man he was. Mooro was a true legend of the club: kind, welcoming, and loved by so many. A wonderful friend, hugely popular, and someone who left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
He will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts and love are with Mooro’s family and those closest to him at this incredibly difficult time.
