Notice is hereby given of an Extraordinary General Meeting of Welwyn Garden City CC on Saturday 28th March 2026 at 12.15pm at Digswell Park.
The meeting is called to confirm the invitation to Nigel Mercer to accept the position of President of the club and to elect the 3rd XI Captain.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Prior to the meeting there will be a working party from 10am to prepare the ground for the coming season - there is plenty of work to be done so a good turn out will be appreciated - you can then stay on for the EGM
Saracens Presentation/Matches
We have been given a brilliant opportunity to hold the SHPCL Divisional Trophy Presentation for the 2025 Season at 'The Showdown VI 'which is being held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday March 28th. It will be a fun packed day with two top class games ; Saracens Women v Sale Shark Ladies - kick off @ 14.30 hrs followed by Saracens Men v Northampton Saints kick off @ 18.00 hrs . Both games will have plenty of world class internationals playing and there is a top class entertainment package including Dizzee Rascal...
Saracens have blocked off an area for all members of the cricket league next to the Presentation Room where the Divisional Trophies will be presented . We will be holding the Presentation @ 16.00 hrs and there will be a couple of Saracens Players present for excellent photo opportuinities .
Members of the Club will be able to attend and the Link for purchasing tickets in the designated area at the bottom of this email . In brief ticket prices are as follows; Adults £32; Over 65 £24; Under 24 £24 and Under 16 £15 . There is a code attached with the link which gives us an additional 10% off .
